Reviews
Wonderful orchard to find a huge variety of apples grown onsite! This is not a pick your own orchard, but come with a picnic lunch, get some treats (taffy, apple cider donuts, or one of many amazing tasting apples) at the on-site store and hang out at a picnic table. They have a few fun outdoor activities too (bags, nerf axe throwing, etc). And of course walk around the many trails to see the apple trees.
Loved the amazing tasty apples. You can see walking around the orchard how healthy everything looks - I wanted to try everything. We definitely appreciated the smaller family feel to avoid the crowds - especially this year. The big commercial apple farms are a bit much for us. The food truck was great today. Loved the picnic tables too.
Small apple orchard located in Hugo. Friendly staff and yummy apples. It was pretty busy when I went so parking was a bit difficult. Some yard toys for kids to play with and walking trail around apple trees, cute chickens to say hi to. Here you do not pick your own apples. Shop also has some other homemade items such as honey, candy, pies, etc. Good place if your not big on crowds or into picking apples yourself.
Great family-owned orchard. Skip the busier, bigger name orchards and visit this orchard outside of Hugo. Has all the fall goodies, apples and Pumpkins. Is small, but a nice change to the busier orchards with all you need.
We went the first day of the Holiday Market just after Thanksgiving. There was plenty of parking and a few small bonfires that smelled great! (The road to the orchard along with on-site paths are unpaved gravel. Wear appropriate shoes.) Outside, there were only 4 booths for merchandise and 2 for food, but more might have set up later. Inside the small "store" building, there was a great sampling of homemade/organic products by local (Minnesotan) sellers. All were cute and perfect gift-sized items like ornaments, jewelry, flovored raw honey jars, holiday candies, gnomes, and more. The event was supposed to have live music, but we didn't see or hear any. (Live music, along with some hot apple cider, would have made a huge positive impact on our experience.) No music is a huge reason for my 3-star rating. I had never been here before, so I didn't know what to expect. It's a small orchard with GREAT POTENTIAL. The store products had great style and taste, and the graphic design of the ads was exceptional. I definitely anticipate this place/event to improve with time. I'll happily update my review when I visit again.
