Carlson Orchards, Inc - Harvard MA

My favorite ciders are from here. Stopped by last weekend to pick some 4-packs up and couldn’t decide because there were so many great looking options I’ve not tried yet (usually go for honey crisp or Harvard harvest, but there were a few seasonal options). We were told we could go to the cider barn and try some of the flavors, and I’m so glad we did. Discovered my new #1 favorite, ginger island! It was so good I just had to get a glass of it in the barn and 2 4-packs for later in the store!

Was looking for peach picking nearby and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this spot! I’ve tried a couple of other places over the years and all those places got very overcrowded and charged even on days they had nothing left, or there weren’t really peach picking options. This one had ample parking on a nice Sunday. The peach trees are close by, walking distance about 2-3 minutes from where u purchase the size box u want. I got the $28 box, while it seemed small, it fit a good amount for my family of 4. There are people in tents at each section that provide direction for what you decide to do. The man on the tractor near the peach and nectarine trees was very helpful in guiding my family where we needed to go and what side was ready and what was left. The peaches were very sweet and juicy, while the nectarines were a little harder and slightly sweet. They had a food truck serving brisket for the weekend and it smelled divine, but we didn’t have time to try it, hopefully next time. Their market is small but had the usual stuff you’d need, such as apple cider donuts!

Not sure what happened to this place! Used to enjoy bringing the family. Went this weekend with 8 kids and 4 adults (local Boxborough families) and were told the 4 of us couldn’t stand outside on a “2 person” standing table to watch the kids play. The restaurant was less than half full! The manager was also pretty rude about it all. I would get it if it was busy, but come on. We are part of the pint club there, but unlikely to return anytime soon. Do better.

Awesome orchard!! This place is alot of fun. I love the little gift shop and the hard ciders, regular ciders, and food are amazing. I mean that Apple Brie pizza is to die for. However had a really bad experience in the restaurant barn Friday afternoon where despite not a full place the staff was slow and distracted. Then they would focus on one or two tables and avoid others for 30+min and we just wanted to get our order in. It was pretty wild since it’s a wide open place with a view to every table but we kept our cool and waited. Others were getting pretty frustrated. Then a mistake was made on our order that was confusing and made things tougher. Maybe a little staff pep talk needed but otherwise I can’t knock more than a star off such a great place I’ve been to many times!

Such a beautiful orchard and farm stand and eatery all in one. We came on Thanksgiving Saturday for lunch and were treated to a lovely surprise visit by Santa Claus. We had the chili which, the hot apple cider and the chicken fingers, all of which were absolutely delicious. The farm stand offered many different bags of apples, ciders, cheeses, milk, butter, and other seasonal treat. We will definitely return many times. It is a lovely place to visit with children.
