Carson's Nurseries - Springfield MO

Last summer I spent several thousand dollars at Carson’s Nursery on landscaping rock, trees, shrubs, and plants for my property. Overall, I had a positive experience with them. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and as a local customer I planned to continue purchasing plants and landscaping materials from them in the future. When I purchased my hydrangeas, I opted to buy the extended warranty. Later, when I came back and purchased several willow trees, I chose not to purchase the extended warranty because I assumed that if I properly cared for the plants and followed the instructions provided, they should survive and thrive. I purchased the willows in July and followed Carson’s care instructions throughout the summer, fall, and winter. This spring, every other plant survived and came back healthy. The only plant that didn’t make it was one of the willow trees. I completely understand that I didn’t purchase the extended warranty on the willow, and I realize Carson’s has a policy in place. However, it’s frustrating when one plant fails despite receiving the same care as everything else around it. It makes me question whether that particular tree may have had an issue from the beginning. I called Carson’s to verify which plants I had purchased warranties on because I couldn’t remember. The employee I spoke with was polite, but I was told there was nothing they could do regarding the willow. Again, I understand the policy, but I was hoping for a little flexibility given the circumstances. I’m not asking for a free replacement tree. Even a discount on a replacement willow would have shown some goodwill and customer appreciation. While I understand the purpose of extended warranties, I also believe customers who properly care for their plants shouldn’t be left with no options when a plant fails and everything else survives under the same conditions. I still think Carson’s is a good local nursery, and I appreciate their staff. I was simply disappointed that there wasn’t a middle-ground solution in this situation.

I had a large project and needed help selecting and pulling various plants. AYA was very helpful and stayed with me for the 2+ hours I was there. She pulled the 100+ shrubs, checked me out and held them for me until the next day when she helped load them all in my husbands trailer. She was very patient and kind. Carson’s has the best selection and quality in the area.

During my visit to Carson's new nursery and gift shop just outside Nixa, I spotted a stunning tree in their fresh landscaping. I learned it was a River Birch tree, and I immediately knew I wanted one for my yard. They were eager to assist me in selecting the ideal tree, and the ordering process was incredibly easy. After a two week period, I called to inquire about the installation. Chris was very accommodating and arranged for it to be set up the following day. The young men who delivered and installed the tree were polite, professional, and worked efficiently to place it exactly where I wanted. I will certainly rely on Carson's for all my landscaping needs moving forward.

Carson’s has a great selection of trees. I really appreciate the time they take to explain care for a particular plant or tree. I recently purchased an Oklahoma Red Bud Sparkler. Melissa Philips was especially helpful as I was making the selection of my tree. She was knowledgeable and answered my questions. It was also nice to get a ride in the golf cart rather than walk through the yard. Overall a great experience!

I had a wonderful experience at Carson's on Mothers Day Weekend! I was there shopping for hydrangeas and Tyler Moore was there to answer all of my questions and more! The place was swarming with people but he took time to really educate me and help me feel comfortable with what I was purchasing! I left feeling confident with all the info he imparted to me and so excited to get my plants in the ground! Carson's is a bit of a drive for me and not the nursery I typically go to, but because of Tyler's exceptional service I will be making the trek back to purchase my plants there from now on!
