Darnell's Garden Patch - Orange VA

My husband took me here on Mothers Day weekend while traveling in Gordonsville. We got some Virginia peanuts, we got some plants, I got apple butter, jams and a cold sherbet drink out of the cooler that was amazing and tasted just like ice cream. What a wonderful place.

Picked up some outstanding fruit on a recommendation from my tandem skydive instructor down the road! Came for the peaches and also left with a sugar baby melon and the largest cantaloupe I’ve ever seen!! Fair prices and excellent fruit selection! Tomatoes galore ❣️

Picked up this lovely prickly pear cactus. And found some lovely carnivorous picture plants and a red Venus fly trap to add to my collection at home! Staff was very knowledgeable and made sure I knew about the care of my plants. Will definitely be coming back again

Extensive assortment of indoor, outside garden and container plants. The majority being in great condition. The decorative elements and products offered in the shed have expanded to include many local items (honey, preserves, handmade soaps, art, etc.). Mr. Darnell was very pleasant, knowledgeable and easy to work with: he made himself available without hovering, had a cart appear when it was needed (trays also) and carried those that wouldn't fit (having spinal problems this was greatly appreciated) to the "pile" I was accumulating. He showed me beautiful options for some areas here that are problematic and helped me by choosing the "best of the best" for the selections with which I was unfamiliar. The prices were also good and fair for the quality. Honestly? It was difficult to not get more... but as soon as my back recovers from planting these, I'll definitely be back for more!

My wife and I love Darnell’s! We started coming here long before we moved to Orange! This is a fun stop for people who don’t even like growing things! I would highly recommend!
