Ferguson's Garden Center - Spirit Lake IA

I got married in October and reached out to Ferguson’s within a few weeks of my wedding after our original florist fell through. Kim was so incredible to work with and was able to help us pull everything together on very short notice. I am not from the Spirit Lake area so most of our communication was done over the phone and through email. Kim was extremely responsive and did an amazing job bringing my vision board pictures to life. Everything turned out so beautiful especially considering the short turn around! Highly recommend!

Nice garden store with good selections of indoor/outdoor plants. They provided a beautiful flower arrangement for me on they have some pre-arranged flower bouquet you can choose from at different price points and are happy to customize it for you. A little on the pricey side. Ended up $160 lighter with a nice size gorgeous bouquet.

This rose bush was bought along with another one the day before mothersday as a gift. When buying them I asked about the leaves as I bought 2 different ones, I was told it was just because they were different varieties. The morning after buying the leaves started looking very wilty and sad looking on the one plant. It has been just short of 2 weeks and constant tending and the plant is horrible. We brought the plant back today to see if we could exchange it for one that was actually acceptable. The customer service was subpar. We were first told the problem was that it hadn't been planted yet. We asked what the difference between the plant we bought and all of the rose bushes that are still there in the pots ... at first no answer could be given and then we were told it was because the lady was the one there taking care of them everyday. We told her we had been watering them everyday and the one plant looked great. We were then told that it was because the plant we picked was finicky with the constant weather changes we have had , even though that was asked on the initial buy and that was never brought up to us. She said since the plant had signs of life they could not warranty it until next year if it didn't come up then. She pruned about 75 percent of the plant down and sent us on our way. Spending just about 200 dollars on plants and having one almost instantly wilt up ... and it being a gift on top of it is very fursterating to say the least. We have had good luck with the plants in the past but after this ordeal will be looking for a different source to buy outdoor plants in the future.

Ferguson's Garden's always has a beautiful and abundant assortment of plants, whether it's houseplants/succulents & cactus or landscaping flowers, shrubs or trees. They also have an amazing selection of planter pots so many different sizes, shapes, and designs! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and what they are unsure of they don't hesitate to research and help determine. Appreciate having such a great plant nursery with so many extras so close to home! Thank you!
