Marcum's Nursery - Norman OK

I bought a collard green from here last year and planted it along with a kale and brussels sprout. I kid you not that collard green survived the entire winter and has turned into this. Sure, it looks like it’s been through a sieve, but it is the most hearty collard green I have ever had and I had no idea they would last an entire winter. Their plants are pretty Hardy

Bought a $300 tree from Marcums in Norman, planted it the next day and it immediately started dying. Called Marcums and asked if they would warranty the tree seeing as how it was $300 and didn’t even last a day. First it was not buried in a proper location (not enough slope) proved them wrong on that. Then it was over watered (I never watered it as I was told at the shop to not water it very much and it rained the next day) they tried to tell me it was because it didn’t have compost to which I informed them it was buried with both native soil and compost mixed. Then they finally said it was buried too deep because “the branches are too close to the ground”. I buried it just enough to cover the soil it came in. Do NOT go to Marcums in Norman. I don’t know about other Marcums but this one does not care about the plant a they sell once they are out of the store or it’s customers. These people also let all of their plant containers fly all over God’s creation and don’t pick them up. I live right behind and to the side of them and I have to pick up their trash on a daily basis. For now on, I will be demanding they send workers over to come get their crap out of my yard.

I am definitely a beginner gardener, but they were so friendly and helpful here! I was assisted by a really lovely lady named Martha. She gave me great recommendations and never made me feel rushed to make decisions. Beautiful selection of flowers and reasonably priced. So happy with my experience and will be back!

A good place to buy plants. They have a good knowledge about the plants.They sell and the trees they sell.

Stopped in to look at chimeneas and the lady who helped us was not very kind or professional. I don't know her name, but she acted as if we were a bother. A little disappointed because the other Marcum's locations usually have such nice people. We ended up buying the chimenea there only because the other locations did not have one like the one that they have here. Can't speak on their selection of other things and chances are won't go back to this location if I can help it.
