Montana Ace | The Garden Place - Missoula MT

I’ve been on the hunt for an apricot tree that will be a good pollinator for my Moongold apricot tree. This hidden jewel of a garden shop came to my aid! The helpful staff was on the ball. Great prices, too! And I wish to thank Rachael, the manager for her awesome customer service!

Love the business and they always got amazing products, just fair warning that this place doesn’t close at 8 on saturday, they close at 6. Some older lady who was an employee rolled her eyes at us immediately when we said that google says they closed at 8. I said that I totally understand that they close at 6, I just wanted to give a heads up to update your guys’s business hours so that this doesn’t happen again to anyone else. The lady was rude for no reason and acted like we were incompetent even though we went in the business when it said it was open on Saturday, which is 8.

Went here to find a new house plant. Walked in and was instantly at peace and envy of the stunning selection. The employee was nice and kind. I could have stayed all afternoon.

I love this place for their friendly and knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices compared to other stores in the area. The selection is a bit limited but what they do have is all high quality. Also it’s nice to be able to shop semi-local. I’m not clear on the details but Montana Ace is somehow distinct but affiliated with Ace in general, and the Montana Ace stores (almost all in Missoula) are around 30% employee owned. At least that’s what I heard, I could be wrong about that. I can’t stand that this listing still uses their old name, even though they’ve been Montana Ace | The Garden Place for years now. I took pictures of every single sign showing the correct name but Google refuses my attempt to edit the name. I think probably because they never bothered to update their website, which isn’t even accessible anymore. 🤷🏻‍♂️
