After success with the Japanese maple, it was time to start on the list of external house upgrades Natures Best quoted almost a year ago- starting with front porch stair rail replacement and light fixture in the back yard. Gavin D. Normandeau did a tremendous job once again. The rail is strong, like a sasquatch - and casts a big shadow. If Willem Dafoe were a stair rail - he would be this one. The cedar Gavin used looks terrific raw, I was gonna paint it, now I'm not. In the back, the giant cedar pole stands mighty, like a monument to back yards. Supporting a robust low volt lighting system held by taught wire that has been securely anchored to the home - I have room to expand or adjust should I ever enclose my deck. The craftsmanship is exemplary, the work was done on time without any surprises, issues, or additional costs. The business owner Jerry even contacted me afterwards to make sure everything was satisfactory. In fact, I ordered a bat house for the pole, and 2 showed up. Now I have 2 bat houses for Maximum Bat. Bela Lugosi style. We are extremely happy with the work done. I look forward to hiring Natures Best again in the future.
Not a great experience. It started off great - the good: they have a wonderful selection and it's very enjoyable to wander through the plantings and displays. I love it when garden centers have established plantings to stroll though and enjoy while you shop. They have herbs no one else has. Unfortunately the bad - we shopped on a Friday afternoon and it was not crowded. We picked up several selections and went to the check out - no one was there. We waited for 10 mins, and then my daughter went to look for someone - 5 min later she returned, no one found. She then started calling the nursery business line - no answer. A gentleman got in line behind us, by this time we'd been at the checkout for almost 25 mins. I mentioned to him, we'd been waiting a little while and could not find an employee. After about 5 min he went to search for someone. By this time another customer got in line - my daughter is still calling & no answer. Our total wait time was nearly 45 min when the gentleman returned to say "someone is coming". The worst part of all of this is after waiting patiently all of this time, the check out person kept trying to over-charge me for the "pull apart herbs". I told her the multiple signs at every station says - 2" pull aparts 3.99 & 4" pots 6.99. She told me she fixed it but after I left I discovered she neglected to fix 3 of the 2" pots and charged me 9.99 each for the 2x2 pull aparts instead of 3.99. She also overcharged me for a clematis by another 5.00 - That's 23.00 too much! I doubt I'll go back there but if I do give them a second chance I will double check my receipt before I go to the car. I would have done it this time but was trying to be courteous of the people in line behind me who were saying just before the employee arrived, they were just going to take the plants and leave. The checkout is right next to the parking lot and no one would have known the difference except those of us who were honest.
I read the Lorax and decided it was time for a tree. After several months of waffling on what to get - I finally sprung for an elegant Japanese Maple, courtesy of Nature's Best. Purchased on site and tagged - Nature's Best drove the tree all the way to my home in Old Hickory to plant it a few days later. Gavin D. Normandeau arrived in a company truck exactly when he said he would. He offered sound advice on where to put it (needs a little shade), and showed me the watering bags I needed to order on Amazon if I didn't want to run the sprinkler (I don't). Gavin was super knowledgeable, answered all my questions and took the time to write up an estimate after the fact for a potential patio installation in the Fall. I look forward to working with Nature's Best again.
purchased this mini petunia last year, and it was amazing just kept blooming from spring to fall, I just found it's called Itsy pink petunia, Hope it could be restock next year
Nature’s Best Nursery in Nolensville is seriously awesome. They’ve got a great selection of plants, trees, and garden stuff — everything looked super healthy and well taken care of. But the best part? The people. Everyone I talked to was super friendly, knew their stuff, and genuinely wanted to help. The whole place just has a really chill, welcoming vibe. You can tell they really care about what they do. I went in for a few things and ended up leaving with exactly what I needed... plus a few plants I couldn’t resist. If you’re in the Nolensville or Nashville area, definitely check them out. It’s hands down one of the best spots around for plant lovers.
