What a great place to go! Beautiful grounds and inside of cafe is great as well. We had a good meal and ciders were fun to try. A scoop of ice cream topped off the meal - delicious! I highly recommend the deconstructed chili!!
The food and setting are magical. I’ve been lucky enough to participate in their community dinners that offer folks a chance to pick the veggies and contribute to the meals, and I’ve also had a chance to dine in from the regular menu. I haven’t had one thing I didn’t like! Their menu is seasonal, and in the summer I love the peaches, the touches of marigold, and the sweet corn ice cream. The flowers along the porch are gorgeous and photo op worthy. PB is a hike from my house, but it’s worth the drive every time. A+ across the board, nicely done!
I likely don't even have the words to adequenly describe how wonderful my experience was. From the moment we pulled onto the property, it was like we were in an oasis- a farm oasis! It is so homey, beautiful, eccentric, the list goes on. It is the most true farm-to-table experience. Everything is fresh from their property that the restaurant sits on or local vendors like them. The food was incredible. We were told that their menu is crafted by their chefs based on what might be growing in the garden and in season and they serve it until it runs out. We had to try one of everything. I even brought my picky husband. We mean it when we say, we absolutely loved EVERYTHING. We came with several friends and they accommodated us just eating family style and trying everything. Which brings me to the staff... I can't say enough positives there. Every person we encountered from the moment we walked in the door, was delightful. They all seemed to help each other and work together with flow. Kindness just radiated from them and they all seemed to have pride in their work. It was refreshing change from the norm. We also couldn't pass up trying all of the hard ciders. They were so delicious we had to take several home with us. Thank goodness they have plenty on hand just for that reason! The farm store that is attached to the restaurant rocked our world. They have a little bit of everything and we went home with....most of it.. 😂 I just want to thank the owners of this beautiful place, the staff, and anyone else that may be part of this exceptional operation. It is truly a phenomenal place!
Amazing food!! So fresh and delicious! Loved the vibe and the community garden is stunning to walk through. My husband and I had such a great time. They even brought us out a fly fan, very sweet! The ice cream was yummy too. We absolutely loved the banana chocolate flavor. The bread and butter was so fresh, hot and flavorful with the different butters. Would absolutely come again!!
Peaceful Belly isn’t just a place to go eat – it’s a whole farm to fork experience! And a memorable one, too. Located in the beautiful Sunnyslope Wine Trail of Idaho, Peaceful Belly is the perfect stop after an afternoon of tastings. While it wasn’t busy when my husband and I arrived for our 2:30pm reservation, I would still recommend making reservations which can be done through their website or through OpenTable. We began our visit with flights of their highly-acclaimed Stack Rock Cider (choice of 4 drinks, $8.00/flight). Our server was kind enough to throw in another 2 so we could test the entire menu. Both of us agreed the best one is the Skinny Dippin’. It’s the perfect blend of sweet basil and tart lemon – we couldn’t leave without bringing home a bottle! If you’re not a cider fan, they do offer wine from the surrounding wineries. We were informed the menu changes weekly and follows the seasons. There’s lots of vegetarian options, but also some meat dishes. It’s obvious that a lot of thought goes into each dish as they’re all very unique. I chose the Eggplant Parmesan Flatbread (house made flatbread, breaded eggplant, basil, Parmesan, mozzarella, house made tomato sauce, $17.00) and it was absolutely exquisite! The roasted tomato was deliciously sweet and reminded me of peaches, I think? The tomato sauce was wonderfully seasoned and burst with flavor, better than anything you can buy at the store. My husband ordered Ratatouille (cherry tomatoes, zucchini served on “socca” (garbanzo bean) pancakes with eggplant spread and fresh herbs). He loved the fresh dill on top of the perfectly cooked vegetables, which paired amazingly with the cakes. This dish had great flavor and was cooked to perfection as well. We couldn’t leave without trying the Peach Pie, which is literally a mini pie filled with sweet peaches in the most delicious crust I’d ever eaten topped with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla (IYKYK) whipped cream ($12.00). It was SO good. To top off our wonderful time, we bought a vase and for $12.00 we were able to create a beautiful bouquets. I had a blast choosing from so many flowers! I’m really looking forward to my next visit to Peaceful Belly. This is an absolute GEM. It’s worth the drive, it’s worth all your time. Don’t sleep on it!
