Red Wagon Plants - Hinesburg VT

Lovely collection of various greenhouses, very well maintained. Helpful staff. It's a bit of a slog pushing your cart around because of sloping terrain and gravel pathways. Like all greenhouses, expensive, especially the $40 hanging baskets. Bedding plants more reasonable @ 4/$5.

We have planted starts in our garden from Red Wagon Plants, but this visit was our first time at their farm and we intentionally visited for the bake shop. From the moment you step in this new building, there long tables to sit and enjoy your coffee and baked goods. The display of baked goods are varied from scones to cakes. It is hard to choose, but be prepared to pick something for eating on site and some treats to bring home. Coffee and tea selection are nice along with beverages in their cooler. There are also prepared sides that are ready to go. We enjoyed eating our pastries outside with views of Camel’s Hump and gardens. Afterward we took a walk into the green houses to check out the plants they had. Madame Cutler, a small business that sharpens knives, was setting up for a couple hour on that day. Highly recommend finding this gem in Hinesburg.

My first time there I had a great experience. The employees are very knowledgeable and very helpful and the setup is so beautiful. I purchased their starters of herbs, great selection.

Beautiful (and some unusual) plants, a nice farm store and delicious cafe. Spent 5 weeks in Burlington this summer, and went to the cafe 8 times, feasting on cucumber/asparagus/fennel tartines, oysters and all sorts of lovely baked goods.

I love visiting Red Wagon and feel so fortunate that they are a part of our community. Julie has really put together a wonderful place to shop for plants that are reasonably priced and well cared for. The staff is knowledgeable and super helpful. The bakery is a great added feature and even has some gluten-free options.
