Riley’s U-Pick in Genola is an absolute gem! We went for a fun date night and had such a great time. They make it super easy to pay — Venmo, debit, or cash — and you can choose between different size buckets and boxes ranging from $8 to $22, or pay by the pound. Prices are very reasonable (nectarines were $2/lb, peaches $2.50/lb, and spaghetti squash $1.25/lb). The produce is fresh and plentiful. You can pick your own fruits and vegetables right from the fields, or grab pre-picked items in their farm shack. They also sell fresh-pressed apple juice by the gallon, pinto beans, and other seasonal goodies. I loved that they had a big board showing what’s currently in season and what’s coming up — it makes it easy to plan return visits. The staff was kind, helpful, and welcoming, and there was plenty of parking. We left with peppers, tomatoes, bell peppers, LOTS of raspberries, peaches, nectarines, and a gallon of apple juice — all for under $30! Everything tasted amazing and so fresh. We will 100% be back throughout the season instead of buying produce at the grocery store. It’s a wonderful experience for couples, families, or anyone who enjoys fresh, local food. Highly recommend! One suggestion for the owners: It might be helpful to have a large sign near the entrance explaining how pricing works for the buckets and boxes, along with the rates, since the current sign is inside the shack and easy to miss until after you’ve already started picking. We knew Spanish and were able to ask staff, but having clear instructions outside could avoid confusion for new visitors. This seems to be the main reason for the few lower-star reviews I’ve read, and it would make the experience even smoother. Overall, it’s an amazing place — fun, affordable, and a great way to enjoy fresh, local produce. Highly recommend!
I adore Riley's farm fresh. I have been to quite a few orchards and patches this season and my boys could explore and see where food comes from and how much work goes into it all. They had so much good produce and other options. I forgot my caramel sauce on the counter so I will be back soon. 😁👍
We visited Riley's UPick Farms on a Monday evening in late September and had a wonderful time. The farm wasn’t busy, with just a few families around, which made for a pleasant experience. We picked Honeycrisp apples that were incredibly sweet and delicious, and there were plenty available for picking. The friendly employees added to our enjoyment, and we're excited to return for peaches, strawberries, and other veggies.
I absolutely love this place. We come many many times during the summer and fall. Amazing tasting produce and the kindest lady working as the cashier. Just love the overall homey feel. Definitely recommend and will be coming back!
Our family loves coming here in summer and fall to pick raspberries, peppers, and produce including our pumpkins for Halloween. The fresh dried pinto beans are amazing! Their samples of apples have us hooked! Our kids love the apple cider slushie. Also their boxed fruit is quality and delicious. We always come home so happy with what we’ve found and picked for a great price- thank you for helping us in our journey to eat more whole foods!
