Reviews
Selection and prices on seedlings are great, and the produce here is reasonably priced compared to other farmstands (which can be insanely overpriced) and very fresh compared to supermarkets. It feels like a local business that cares about and is a part of their community, not an attempt to cash in on rich vacationers. Highly recommend it!
I’ve been coming here for years. Great place, family run. They carry their own produce and from other locals, lots of local products and always a wide selection. Plus they have flowers and seedlings.
One of the highlights of our trip to the Catskills, i love a good farm market ❤️ They had a great selection of fresh produce and goods. My highlights were fresh white corn, strawberries, and fresh chocolate chip cookies (which also had walnuts and caramel in them). So good, we went back a second time! And across the street is a cute farm with a bunch of cows! It’s cash only and they have an atm but it didn’t work for me so we got cash elsewhere and came back
I have always loved stopping at this farm. Fresh produce and flowering plants & herbs. Lots of homemade goodies too.
Story Farms — Where Nostalgia Grows Wild and the Strawberries Are Basically Love Letters If a postcard from your childhood and a foodie’s daydream had a baby, it would be Story Farms in Catskill, New York. This charming oasis is tucked into the rolling, postcard-perfect farmland of the Catskills is more than just a roadside stop — it’s a full-blown experience. The moment you step onto the gravel, you’re hit with that feeling — like you’ve been here before, even if you haven’t. It’s the kind of place your grandparents would take you for peaches and pie… except this time, you drove yourself, and you’re hoarding the cookies. Let’s talk produce: The strawberries? Juicy. Plump. Sun-kissed. They taste like summer decided to retire here. The peaches? So sweet and drippy you’ll need a napkin… and a life plan that includes eating more peaches. And don’t even get me started on the zucchini and squash — they’re so fresh, I half expected them to introduce themselves by name. But wait, there’s more. Like any true small-town treasure, they also have homemade baked goods — I snagged a chocolate chip cookie the size of my hand, and yes, I did eat the whole thing in the car. Zero regrets. There are jellies, jams, local honey, and maple syrup so good you’ll start looking for excuses to pour it on everything (Pro tip: it’s socially acceptable on pancakes and bacon). Looking to spruce up your porch or impress your HOA? The greenhouse flowers and plants are thriving, vibrant, and honestly outshining most of us. Plus, if you’re a smoked fish enthusiast — and if you’re not, you will be — the smoked trout is a total sleeper hit. As if all of that wasn’t enough, the backdrop is a literal countryside dream — acres of green, a breeze that smells like hay and happiness, and even some livestock roaming peacefully nearby. It’s like Mother Nature put on her Sunday best just for you. Story Farms is one of those rare places that slows you down in the best way. A perfect slice of Catskill life where you can stock up on farm-fresh goodness, pet a goat if you’re lucky, and leave feeling like your soul’s been hugged. Add this place to your must-stop list. You’ll leave with bags full of produce, arms full of flowers, and a heart full of sweet, sweet nostalgia. “Food that feeds the soul, beauty that speaks volumes, and travel that tells a story always through the eyes of Italy Loves India.” — Alyson Savino IG: Alysonnyc212 #FarmstandGoals #CatskillGems #StrawberryFieldsForever #FarmFreshFinds #StoryFarms #NostalgicNibbles #CookieIsALifestyle #PeachyKeenVibes
