Summersweet Garden Nursery (at Perennial Pleasures) - Hardwick VT

The Tea Garden @ Summersweet gardens is worth whatever distance you need to drive to get there, do note - reservations are required and online booking are simple to do. We were very impressed with the selection of teas, the cucumber sandwiches and scones, strawberry preserves and fresh whipped cream. I had mentioned in the comments of the reservation that I have a strawberry allergy and was impressed when our server mentioned it, before taking our order, and brought out raspberry preserves for me. The only miss, I felt, was in not serving a local honey with the tea - that brought my rating from a 5 to a 4. The grounds are lovely with incredible plants, spots to sit and a few hidden gems. It's rather like falling down the rabbit hole and finding yourself in a garden wonderland. Definitely worth the mileage.

My fiancé and I went to Summersweet for afternoon tea and it was splendid. The tea was great with tasty sandwiches, scones, and sweets. Plus, endless refills of tea and seconds of all the food!! Not only was the afternoon tea top tier, but the setting was so relaxing and beautiful. After our tea, we took some time to explore the gardens and felt so refreshed on our drive home. We will definitely be back again for tea in the future.

Amazing gardens, full of beauty, fun and whimsical. The tea service was great. We loved the food and beverages and our waitress was lovely.

Delightsome, absolutely be sure to make Reservations ahead when you desire to enjoy the *Full English Cream Tea* its so dreamy! Simply Beautiful grounds, with a vast assortment of Perennials, delightful English Tea room and garden tables. Be sure to meet the knowledgeable &nigh- Magical Herbalist ownership, and enjoy a Phlox color collection that is renowned New England - wide.

Love the scones and cucumber sandwiches. Tea service was lovely, the shop had cute wares, and the nursery had so many interesting plants. I sniffed a lot of flowers; free smells! ;) Reservations for tea service are recommended. This place is definitely worth a stop. I've seen some plants I haven't seen in other nurseries. It's obvious this place is a labor of love.
