What a lovely hidden gem on the way to Waipio Valley lookout in the Big Island of Hawaii! We noticed the colorful tiny fruit shack surrounded by a beautiful garden on our way down and decided to stop on our return — and we are so glad we did. A sweet, friendly young girl welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. We ordered a large fruit bowl, and every tropical fruit was incredibly fresh, juicy, and delicious. Everything was beautifully prepared and served with care. The garden itself is absolutely magical — full of vibrant flowers, charming decorative ornaments, cute furniture, and even adorable ducks and cats wandering around peacefully. The whole place feels relaxing, cheerful, and full of aloha spirit. This was one of the most memorable little stops of our Big Island trip. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Waipio Valley!
They claim to be the "world's cutest fruit stand," and I agree 💯% !!! Their landscape is the essence of Hawaiian Paradise. Picture a maze of curious stone paths, meandering up a hill, overlooking the vast blue ocean. Around each bend, you will encounter different tropical plants, cute critters, and inviting seating areas. They even have hammocks! I treated myself to a refreshing Mamaki Tumeric Iced Tea. I loved that it was completely natural and without sugar. The turmeric imparted a mild earthy flavor and left me with an intense feeling of well being. The staff couldn't be any more chill. I was lavished with Aloha, and they just smiled as I snapped a hundred pictures! This is a "must stop" location on your way to Waipio. They even have clean portable toilets, right in the parking lot.
My only complaint is that you may have to wait a while because it’s a small, family-owned business that could use some more staff in the shack. The worker was kind and helpful. But I cannot rate highly enough the atmosphere and food. The food was as fresh as can be, and you could see it being grown on the trees behind the shack. I had a cold coconut, and as a new Englander, it was an experience like no other. Refreshing, tasty, and no sour after taste like you get in stores back home. Next I tried the ginger lime sugar cane juice, it was fantastic! My girlfriend had the fresh squeezed lemonade and loved it, she would’ve had two if not for the giant line that came in after us. The atmosphere was otherworldly, if I could spend hours sitting there, I would! Butterflies floating around, ducks and geese walking around (kind not aggressive), kids being kids, immaculate landscape with beautiful flowers and direct view of the ocean, and a cute cat! If I have more time, next time I’ll take the farm tour by horseback or ATV.
Such a nice surprise on the way to Waipi’o Valley. Fruits are super fresh from a local farm. Stand straight up & hold on to your fruits unless you want to share them with the ducks, which I wouldn’t mind.
Location catches your eyes! Right off the road. Great local tropical fruit stand with a vibrant, colorful setup. The fruits are fresh, the coconuts are excellent, and the juices are refreshing and full of flavor. Definitely worth a visit!
