Backwoods Berry Farm - Hettick IL

My favorite place! The blueberry’s are so delicious. I have been several years in a row for them. Got enough to freeze for the year. My first year picking strawberries! They were easy to pick and delicious as well. Staff is very friendly! Easy to park- and they provide buckets for picking- and boxes. And a fun little ride/tour on the golf cart or wagon!

Went for the 1st time to pick strawberries today. Great berries, about avg size and color. Very plentiful, but the owner said this is the final year for strawberries!!!! Be sure to pick plenty or call after regular picking & they may still have rows to be picked. (The photo is two flats, about 3 hrs of slow picking or 3/4 of a row.) The berries run $2.50/# or about $25.00 per flat if full like mine.

I love the berry farm. The atmosphere is relaxing, just knowing you have no worries while you are here. Our staff is friendly and can answer any questions you may have and we always have plenty of berries and peaches for the customers.

What a great day with the grandkids and family! Came home and made some Strawberry Jam. 😋

Wonderful berries; wonderful, fun people -- outstanding experience. Traveled 75 miles from St. Louis to Backwoods last week and picked 20#. Enjoyed it so much we went back yesterday and picked 18# more.
