Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were greeted by every single employee. I could hang out here daily. They have beautiful plants and great prices. WILL BE RETURN CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE!!!

This place is phenomenal! An enormous nursery / gardening center with everything you could possibly want, and they are healthy and well potted from seedlings to full-grown. It's well organized with signs and row numbers and plenty of knowledgeable employees eager to help you out. And even though they are always ALWAYS busy, there's ample paved parking and flat carts easily accessible.

Just wow! I came with hope I would find even 1 or 2 of the plants I was looking for. I found them all & a million more. I was in actual heaven & will be going for more.

Excellent perennial plant collection including native species. Reasonably priced and impressively knowledgeable perennial plant staff and buyer. We always find fresh rotating inventory with varied variety/cultivar selections. Thank you.

I’ve been going to Bates since moving to Nashville in 2013. Even now, living in Columbia, I enjoy trekking to Bates because of the service and selection. Always an enjoyable experience. This last time I came for very specific plants. I happened upon a worker named Kinzy who was very helpful. He took the time, despite being very busy, to find the plants I was looking for even looking through his references to give me advice on the proper soil, drainage and sun/shade recommendations. He took my eight plants up to check out and stayed there until I paid after which he volunteered to wrap my plants to protect them while in my truck, even placing them in the optimum positions to prevent damage. He didn’t have to do any of these things but he was honestly very sincere in making sure my buying experience was satisfying and complete. Start to finish. He was very friendly and professional. It was a real joy conversing with him.
