Botanica Garden Center - Kings County NY

I visited this morning around 8:30 AM, and I just wanted to share how wonderful my experience was. The staff at the ticket booth were incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. They greeted me with warm smiles and gave helpful guidance with such positive energy that it made my day start beautifully. The garden itself was stunning — full of colorful flowers and peaceful beauty everywhere I looked. But what made the visit truly special was the excellent staff service. Their friendliness and genuine hospitality made the whole experience even more memorable. This is one of the best visitor experiences I’ve had. Thank you to your amazing team for creating such a joyful and beautiful morning.

warning: plants infested with fungus gnats I purchased two 4-inch plants here for around $40 (imo pricier than other shops, but the quality looked good so I went for it). As is my routine with any new plants, I quarantined them in a closed room with no other plants and no open windows. I came back from a 1.5-week trip to a full-blown fungus gnat infestation in that room; dozens of small gnats scattered across the walls and window, ranging from very tiny to slightly larger. The only thing that entered that space was the plants from this store (where I had noticed a couple of bugs flying around the store during my visit but assumed it was incidental since the doors are often left open). Today, I brought the plants back and showed the manager, expecting the issue to be acknowledged. Instead, he pulled the plants out, told me "there are no flies" (these are gnats, and they're tiny and some larger) and continued to insist nothing was wrong rather than offering a refund or even a basic acknowledgment. I'll post the video, so anyone interested can judge for themselves. Infestations happen, and I understand that. Being told I didn't know what I was talking about turned this fixable problem into a one-star review.

A very beautiful and magical place. I’ve bought plants there in the winter, and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the calm presence of the owner — there’s a lot of peace in that space. The music adds to it, and it feels like the plants are happy there. It’s a very lovely and humble place, and I really appreciated the warmth of the owner.

Bought a Zebra plant, soil and a cute pot. The man working there was very kind. They had a great selection of plants.
