I’ve been coming to this farm stand to pick strawberries for over five years. It never disappoints. I’m glad to see that they’re expanding now and having more to offer like the refreshing strawberry lemonade, slushy the vegetables are always fresh and gorgeous and today we saw a little visitor on our trip nestled inside the strawberries a cute turtle. He agrees the strawberries are so sweet!

We went strawberry picking this past weekend at Farms View Roadstand in Wayne, and it was a wonderful experience. I was pleasantly surprised to discover such a great strawberry farm so close to our home in Bergen County. Although it was a Sunday morning and fairly busy with lots of families, everything was very well organized and enjoyable. Parking was easy, and the staff kept things running smoothly. The strawberry fields were beautiful, and the strawberries were incredibly sweet, fresh, and delicious—some of the best we’ve ever tasted. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and kind, which made the experience even better. We also loved browsing the farm stand and checking out all the fresh local products. My husband and I had such a great time that we would love to make this an annual tradition. Highly recommend Farms View Roadstand for a fun family outing and amazing strawberries!

TL:DR - on balance an average rating, good products but relatively expensive, not overly welcoming. Disappointing that they are still charging entry for u-pick strawberries, incl children of all ages. However, it's likely calculated - most ppl will concede to paying it, unhappily, rather than disappoint their kids (whom we all know the picking aspect is really for), and incentivizes buying more product than they might need (who wants to pay more for entry than the strawberries themselves). But did watch many families turn away saddened. The strawberries themselves are better than the grocery store and worth the $5.50/lb. I think a good middle ground would be to only charge adults entry, although their pricing seems to be working well for them. There is large variety of store produce and plants/flowers. Again good quality, but relatively expensive, understanding that it will be more costly than a large store. Would be good if they indicated what is grown by them on site versus what is brought in from elsewhere. For a local, community farm, there were few pleasantries. It's a small intangible but noticeably absent. I think they're mostly busy trying to process as many customers as possible hence lacking the personal touch. Good job by parking attendants keeping everyone organized, or else it could be chaotic with the volume of traffic.

We went strawberry picking on the Sunday of MDW at around 10:30. There was a small crowd but it definitely started getting more busy when we left at around noon. There were some strawberries just starting to get ripe but I think going the first week of June would have been much better - but also probably more crowded, so you can’t have it all. Entrance is $5 per person and you pay per pound. I believe the strawberries were $8.99/lb so it will add up quick. We probably spent $20 on strawberries but of course, you’re paying for the experience. They also have a farmer’s market/bakery and prices aren’t too bad for farm goods ($10 for fresh pickles, $20+ for pies). It’s nice not to have to drive too far to get to a pick your own farm, so it’ll be nice to see what they have available during the rest of the summer season and the fall.

There's no strawberry as sweet as a farm fresh strawberry. Gets busy fast so get there early if you want the best berries! Fun for the whole family, also has flowers and farm goods in the store, which are great, but really we go for the pick your own berries. Wear sunscreen and/or hat.
