Gardener's Choice - Tigard OR

Fairly large nursery with good variety of plants. Nice variety of heirloom tomato starts and rock garden plants. Hard to reach on the telephone. Prices were reasonable, no bargains.

Gardener’s Choice is, without question, one of the best nurseries I’ve ever visited. Every time I walk in, I’m immediately impressed by the variety and the quality. I’ve purchased everything from magnolia trees to roses to stunning red honeysuckle, and every single plant has been healthy, vibrant, and clearly well cared for. You can feel the difference—it’s not just inventory, it’s thoughtfully nurtured greenery that actually thrives once you bring it home. What I especially appreciate is the consistency. It doesn’t matter when I stop by, the plants always look incredible—lush foliage, strong roots, and no signs of neglect. That level of care is rare, and it makes Gardener’s Choice a place I trust completely when I’m adding to my garden. And beyond the plants, they have this wonderful boutique-style shop that’s honestly a gem on its own. It’s filled with everything from beautiful pots and planters to candles and unique home and garden décor. It’s one of those spaces where you go in for one thing and end up finding five more you didn’t know you needed. It adds such a creative, curated feel to the whole experience. And then… there’s the cat. Their resident cat has clearly decided the catnip section is the place to be and can often be found happily lounging right on top of it. It’s both hilarious and the best possible endorsement—if the cat approves, you know it’s good. It gives the entire place a warmth and personality that you just don’t find everywhere. Gardener’s Choice isn’t just a nursery—it’s an experience. Beautiful, healthy plants, a thoughtfully curated boutique, and a charming little cat who runs quality control. I’ll absolutely keep coming back.

Great nursery!! Knowledgeable staff, youre greeted and left alone to browse (my favorite!) Someone is always around if you have questions or need help. Great selection of super healthy plants, indoor and outdoor, good variety of pots. Love this place! And the kitty!

Nice selection of flowers and vegetables, but herbs are not priced clearly and are pretty expensive. There’s no discount for overwintered plants in objectively poorer condition, so you may as well choose a new one since it’s already overpriced. I spent $10 on (2) 4”plants, rosemary and jalapeño. Maybe I’m in a bad mood today but I also found the opera playing in the background to be pretty unpleasant. Your dog isn’t welcome unless you’re the type of person that ignores signage. Nice flowers though.

Huge selection of indoor and outdoor pots and garden decorations. This is the place to get it along with a broad variety of plants to add. I appreciate the way the displays are grouped. You may even find a resident cat guarding the catnip.
