Gardener's Supply Company - Burlington VT

Gardner supply was such a wonderful place when it was employee owned. Now after being sold, it is just like any other big corporation. This truly breaks my heart. I personally won’t be purchasing from them after all of this and find alternative local options.

Recently purchased by a wholesaler and will no longer shop here after being a loyal customer for nearly 6 years. I ordered soil and fertilizer weeks ago, it was never shipped and when I contacted customer service they gave me the run around about why it hadn't been shipped. When I opted to return my purchase, they only had a record of two items in my oder despite me reading off the item numbers from the confirmation email. They refused to return my money, refused to get me to a supervisor who could address the return, and denied that I had ordered 4 products not 2. I had to submit a dispute through my credit card to get my money back. For context, I rarely ever write negative reviews and I have never submitted a dispute for something like this before. Do not order!!

As long as the employees at Gardener’s Supply own the Company, I will be a loyal customer. Some wholesale buyer for the Company bought a whole bunch of junk merchandise and put stupid high prices on them, and this breeds mistrust from customers. Please don't sell out. Please find ways to remain Employee-Owned. Please be there for my family in the future. I Love Gardener's Supply!

A very comprehensive garden store. I have been ordering from their catalog for years and it was good to see the store. This location did not stock the depth of some of the products in the catalog but it had other products as well as plants and ornaments for the garden. They have a discount program for locals as well.

When I logged in the Gardeners Supply website came up with a page asking for email address in exchange for free shipping. I completed the page but when my order was processed there was at $16 shipping fee. Gardeners Supply refused to refund the shipping fee. Buyer beware.
