We’ve been coming to HVO for years and we can honestly say it’s one of our favorite places as a family or couple. Our children absolutely love playing in the play yard as well as the fun events that happen most weekends. Other than that, we as a couple like to come out for happy hour, campfire nights, or movies! When I go to a place to spend the day, I of course want to make sure my family is fed too — HVO’s food + ice cream is some of the best in the county. You’ll have to stop by and get their pizza night pizza on Thursdays! We always feel like the staff treats us like family and makes it so that coming back is easy.
Rustic farm with lots of different areas to explore. The main barn has numerous take-home eats - preserves, cider, honey and more. There’s a smaller adjacent building with fast food choices and yet another similar one a few hundred yards away. A kid “village” also is nearby, as is a covered bridge, a pond, and a waterfall. All in all, there’s enough to entertain for an hour or more.
Went today and had a blast with my daughter! Be prepared for cider slushees, cider donuts, chickens, pigs, cows, sheep, and about a 2 mile round trip walk to the beautiful sunflowers! No admission cost. Cute shop filled with wonderful snacks, hand towels, stuffed animals, tshirts, and more! Lots to do for smaller kids too. Will definitely be back! The staff was excellent!
Brought the kids to the Easter Egg Hunt here. I understand paying for the kids to play on the adminities but to have to pay 10 dollars per parent to WATCH your kids play is beyond ridiculous. As well as its 10 per area lol. We live behind it here and loved the old owners. Seems the new owners are money hungry as the old owners never made parents pay. Update after sitting here for 10 mins ive watched parents turn away as well as parents argue with the attendants over it.
The whole venue was absolutely breathtaking. From the fresh apple cider barn, to the activities for the kids, to the corn maze and pumpkin launching, to the fire pit! Can't go wrong with this place for a nice date night or a place for adults and kids weekend
