Hills Country Greenhouse - Bemidji MN

I love it at Hills Country Greenhouse. The atmosphere is so serene, and the people are all helpful and kind. They have an interesting selection of garden decor and an excellent selection of flowers, vegetables, herbs, shrubs, and trees. They don't have a huge selection of perennials, but I still love what they do have, especially the asiatic lilies, various colors of monarda, and colorful echinacea varieties. I have had nothing but success with growing their perennial flowers. They come back healthy and strong. We recently purchased over 20 fruiting trees/bushes, and so far, all but 4 trees and our grapevines have developed leaves and/or flowers. If the rest don't grow, I know the owners are solid and will help us figure it out, as they told us at the time of purchase to let them know if we run into any issues. When we purchased the trees, one of the employees was especially helpful with making sure we purchased the right varieties for our needs and the right varieties to pollinate each other. She happily answered our many questions. This place really does show the beauty of small, local businesses. *The robin's nest in my review photos was in one of the trees they had for sale. One of the employees made sure to show my kids, and they were thrilled. Another example of how great everyone is here!

There asparagus roots are garbage. And I've had bad seeds for years from Hills. Don't recommend. The owner is very rude. I would recommend nature's edge.

Attended the holiday porch pot class last night hosted by Claire and Jody - what a wonderful experience :-) We had such a good time making our pots, the staff was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend Hill's Country Greenhouse!!

Great selection and very helpful staff. Wonderful plants for gardeners or landscaping. Also, a very good selection of fruit trees and yard/garden decorations and accessories.
