Love Krowas Orchard. They have various kinds of apples already in bags-no need to waste energy picking apples. The people there are very friendly and helpful. We’ve been going there for years. You have to get there from Hwy 42 on County E to Logerquist Road since Hwy 57 is under construction north of Jacksonport. Enjoy the ride!
Great family own orchard. Drive 140mi to get cider.
Great local orchard in door county. The best apple cider in the Midwest!
Krowas Orchard: A Family Tradition of Freshness in Baileys Harbor Nestled in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin, Krowas Orchard offers a taste of Door County tradition. This family-owned farm has been operating for over 60 years, providing locals and visitors with fresh fruits, vegetables, and a glimpse into a simpler time. Here's a breakdown to help you decide if Krowas Orchard is worth a visit: Fresh from the Farm: Seasonal Bounty: Krowas Orchard focuses on seasonal offerings. Expect cherries in late June and July, apples and pears in September and October, and pumpkins and gourds in the fall. U-Pick Fun: For a hands-on experience, consider U-pick options, allowing you to select your own cherries, apples, or pumpkins right from the orchard. Farm Stand Favorites: If picking your own isn't your style, their farm stand offers a variety of freshly harvested fruits and vegetables. A Family Legacy: Generations of Freshness: Operated by the Krowas family for over six decades, the orchard offers a sense of heritage and a commitment to quality. Limited Production: Unlike larger commercial farms, Krowas Orchard focuses on smaller-scale production, potentially translating to fresher and more flavorful produce. Things to Consider: Seasonal Availability: Keep in mind that the best selection of fruits and vegetables will depend on the time of year you visit. Limited Hours: Reviews suggest the orchard has limited operating hours, especially outside of peak season. It's best to check their website or call ahead to confirm hours before your visit. Overall: Krowas Orchard appears to be a charming spot for those seeking fresh, seasonal produce and a chance to support a local family farm. With its focus on U-pick options, farm stand offerings, and rich history, it provides a unique Door County experience. However, if you're looking for a wider variety of produce year-round or a full-fledged farm market experience, a larger grocery store or farmers market might be a better option.
