Adorable little farm! The owner was so sweet and friendly. We enjoyed meandering through the farm, petting the cats, and feeding the horses some treats.
Absolutely LOVE this place❣️ Looking for all things lavender 💜 and more? This is the place to go!! The Red Barn Gift Shop is filled with the best homemade items, unique gifts, and amazing aromas. Visit with beautiful Kindra (owner), take a walk around outside in the lavender fields, visit Otto & Jim the Percherons, sit and relax with a fresh cup of daily coffee or tea and a pastry. You'll leave in a different state of mind, and you'll smell fabulous the rest of the day!
I am a pro women owned businesses and handmade products. I love that it's in the heart of the city and you get to feel farm life. Not big and not too crowded like other gardens and so the owner has time to meet and greet and explain a few stuffs. This is gonna be a regular visit from now on.
Welcome to Des Moines's best kept secret!!! I stumbled across this gift shop almost by accident and I am glad I did. Who knew there was a lavender farm and gift shop so close to Des Moines! If you love lavender this place is for you. From the moment you open the front door you are welcomed by the warm smell of lavender, the scent is intoxicating. The owner of the farm is working behind the counter she is a very sweet woman and knowledgeable about all things lavender. I was very surprised by all of the different items they sell, soap, lotions, and candles to name a few. The best thing is you are able to walk through their lavender fields and pick your own or choose from the already harvested lavender in the gift shop. Such a wonderful place and with the trip!
Really cute place. There is a barn with Lavender Products inside, such as soaps, candles, bath bombs, chapstick, hand sanitizer, satchels, etc. Then you go outside and can cut Lavender Stems and take them with you. They smell so wonderful. Stems are priced per stem and they take cash or debit/credit. There is no fee for browsing or parking. They are open Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 10 am - 5 pm.
