Found this hidden gem in Las Vegas on Facebook and finally decided to check it out with the family. We went on a Sunday around 1 PM after church, and while we still had a great time, it was definitely HOT outside. I would highly recommend visiting during cooler weather or earlier in the day so you can enjoy it longer without the heat draining you. The farm itself is a little hidden away, but they do have signs posted for parking, which made it easier to find once we got close. One thing I really liked is that admission is completely free, although they do have a donation box at the entrance if you’d like to support the farm and the animals. There were quite a few animals to see including horses, donkeys, goats, ducks, and pigs. The highlight for us was feeding the animals. Make sure you buy a bag of carrots because the animals definitely know visitors come with treats and they’ll come right up to you expecting snacks. The goats especially were very eager and entertaining for the kids. I also noticed they host events here and offer pony and horse rides, which would be really fun for birthday parties or family gatherings. Even though it’s a simple little farm, it turned out to be a fun and relaxing activity for kids and families looking for something different to do in Las Vegas away from the Strip. Overall, we had a good experience and would probably come back again when the weather is cooler.
Came for a birthday party and it was cool to visit. Everyone was nice, kept the kids occupied. My daughter really enjoyed riding the horse and feeding the animals. I’d definitely come back again.
The animals live in squalid conditions. The horses behaviors are aggressive. One horse had an obvious wound that was being ignored. Confined to small filthy living spaces. They act starved/restless. It was horrible. One kept kicking and biting at the gate. The stench from the ducks polluted little pond (puddle more like it) was disgusting. Went for a birthday party but felt absolutely horrible about the environment these animals are subjected to. A goat with a limp leg. A goose with a wounded wing. The negligence was astounding. The bathroom was also atrocious. A literal almost sideways toilet that didn’t flush properly. 0/10 for this facility.
The McKee Ranch is a rare gem within our bustling city, and so close by us❣️ Our grandgem was able to ride a pony for the first time, then a horse! He loved it so very much, from the chickens, ducks, horses, pigs, rabbit, swings, and play toys too-to his favorite Danny Boy the dog! He loves - dogs!!!! He throughly enjoyed feeding the animals, riding the cow-train, with the enthusiastic engineer Max. To devouring cotton candy and yummy jumbo hotdogs! We shall return & encourage all who haven't been to go check it out❣️
Could not be better!! My two and half year old loved it more than I can ever explain and the pony + horse rides made his entire day/night/week! We are going back next Friday night and can’t wait to feed all the goats, horses, pigs, sheep, and any other cutie who wants a carrot again, as well take more pony + horse rides! Also we bought some Hawaiian shaved ice that was out of this world and literally the best aloha cookie I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to Hawaii). Congrats (Tammy I believe is the vendor) on those cookies 😍 and just bravo to every one else who runs or volunteers/ works there! Simply outstanding place to visit:) 10 stars ♥️ just wish I took more photos I was having too much fun!!! Next time I will!
