Norwood Gardens - Raleigh NC

I’ve been to Norwood Gardens a few times now and it’s easily one of my favorite spots. It doesn’t feel like your typical garden center at all—it’s super well put together and everything actually looks like it belongs together. What I like most is how helpful everyone is without being pushy. They’ll actually take the time to explain what works, what doesn’t, and why, which makes a big difference if you don’t know a ton about plants. You can tell they care more about setting you up right than just making a quick sale. Also just a really cool place to walk around. Grab a coffee, look at everything, get some ideas—it’s a whole vibe. Definitely recommend if you want your yard to look good and not just thrown together.

Absolutely love this garden center. It’s family-run, and you can tell — they treat customers like part of the family. Everything is organized, the plants are beautiful, and the customer service is amazing every time. I’ve watched how much care goes into this place, and it really shows. Definitely a 5-star experience. Would recommend to all my family and friends!!!

Ordered single shred mulch and it was of terrible quality. Literal logs in the mulch, not just a couple - a lot, it's unusable! When called to talk to owner got told should have looked at it first before having it delivered, sorry that's ridiculous as I believe the person in charge should be making sure about the quality of the product, not the consumer. There are a lot of reasons people can't always come in person but the product should still be of decent quality even if you can't see in person (also no way to see what it might look like online). Even if I had seen it first, who's to say what I got delivered would be the same? I was told no refund or replacement of any sort...instead I should buy more and higher quality from them. Yeah, I'm not doing that and will not be back. No customer service and no accountability for product.

What a fabulous cute family owned garden center !! So nice, beautiful aesthetics and inviting. We loved it here and the Sweet Thyme Cafe located beside lakeside. What a wonderful day we had here … 💚🪴💚

Well done! I have been visiting local garden centers lately, and Norwood Gardens stands above the rest. It is impeccably designed, the layout is intuitive and the staff and owners are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I prefer to support local family-run businesses, and this one is worth the trip. The owner, Anne, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable – I was able to find exactly what I needed. She went above and beyond. They offer a great selection of herbs, planters, and more. I have a few landscaping projects coming up and wasn't aware they offer a full-service landscape division as well – so I will reach out to Les when the time comes. As another reviewer noted, definitely a hidden gem! And the adorable shop kitten is a bonus! I'll be back… often.
