Fun, friendly place. We arrived and were greeted by two friendly sleepy dogs and a chicken before a human gave us baskets and led us to the patch to show us how to choose ripe berries. She also told us about the different varieties and how they taste. We spent an hour wandering, picking, sampling, and enjoying the time. Arriving near noon, it got hot fast. Highly recommend a hat to extend your time out there! We ended up with 4 lbs of blackberries, a handful of blueberries, some jam and some Dublin sodas. Well worth the visit. We learned some things and had fun in nature, supported by friendly folks running the place.
Couldn’t have asked for a better Saturday morning! They have a huge blackberry patch with some of the sweetest berries I’ve ever tasted. The owners were so kind and helpful. Totally worth the hour drive!
🌿 O’Neal Berry Farm – A Hidden Texas Gem! 🌿 It’s blackberry season, y’all! 😍 And we couldn’t have picked a better spot than O’Neal Berry Farm to soak it all in. From the moment we pulled up, we felt like family. We picked up fresh bottled honey straight from this morning’s harvest, and got our hands on farm-fresh eggs — still warm from the coop. The sweet lady who gathered them even let us watch, which was such a treat! We sipped on some classic Dublin Cream Soda, made in Dublin, Texas — the very folks who originally made Dr. Pepper before it went big time. Talk about a taste of Texas history! We loaded up on pounds of juicy organic blackberries, sweet as summer itself. And best of all? Our little girl, Holly, got to feed the chickens — and let me tell you, her smile was bigger than Texas. And the folks who run the place? Absolute salt of the earth. Kind, genuine, and proud of what they do — and it shows in every single detail. This right here is the heart of country living. We’ll definitely be back! 💛🐓🍯 #TexasLiving #BlackberrySeason #SupportLocalFarms #CountryStrong #ONealBerryFarm
Bee kind! Mind the bees while picking. We need them more than they need us. Go early to beat the heat. Good selection of ripe blackberries. Blueberries were not quite ready yet during our visit. The fresh baked goods were delicious.
Love going for blackberry picking. Nice casual atmosphere. Definitely bring closed toed shoes, and pants if you don’t like walking in some taller grassy areas. All well maintained and friendly welcoming upon arrival. Jalapeño jam is a must purchase & always a good amount of ripe berries to fill your box with!
