Piedmont Feed & Garden Center - Chapel Hill NC

I visit this garden center when I need plants for the yard. Today I was looking for plants and bird feed. Got to see cute b as by chicks waiting to be sold. Staff was helpful and friendly. Plants are always in great shape and they had a great variety and the plants are well organized.

Nice little local shop. Most of the plants are beautiful. The prices are pretty high as you might expect from a small shop like this. They cover stuff for your garden, horses, chicks, dogs, birds, etc. No one ever greeted me and I was in the store at least 20 minutes plus time outside and no one ever even nodded my way. I’ll give it another try perhaps.

This is my happy place! This is such a wonderful company. Everyone is always so nice and so helpful. They deliver as well and always do an amazing job!

***Editing this as the store did reach out to me to make this right and offered to replace the two chicks that died. I appreciate the response and willingness to shift course in this situation.*** I’ve purchased many items here and the people are kind but I’m very frustrated with their chick policy. I purchased chicks that were very expensive and it was clear that two were dying. I called about 2 hours after purchasing them to see if I could either get a refund or get two replacement chicks. Nope. I have raised many, many chicks over the years and am no novice. They should not be selling sick chicks that die within hours of purchase. I do understand a policy that doesn’t refund for chicks dying (chicks die) but 2 hours? They absolutely should have offered me to pick up replacement chicks. Will not return.
