Another staple to hit when in the Cherry Hill area if you want a perfect baked good. Springdale Farm Market is especially known for their sugar-coated donuts, which are always baked fresh every morning and don’t last long on the table once you bring them home. All their sweets are great, but they also have fresh vegetables, flowers, and all the decorative items you’d want for your own backyard garden oasis. The people working there are so nice and always smiling, and how could you not be with those delicious smells in the air when walking in? They don’t even stay open for the whole year, and that just shows how much of a loyal following they have to remain successful for so many years with many more to come. It’s a seasonal destination that’s absolutely worth visiting while they’re open.
Today was my first experience with the market. I no longer live in the area, but I work 5 minutes from the market. I have driven by this market for years, nothing ever really drew me in. I called today because I had lost one of my heirloom tomatoes and I wanted to replace it. The young man who answered the phone was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I was looking for Black Krim tomatoes and he confirmed for me that they had them in stock. I was on my way to another nursery nearby and immediately redirected to Springdale Farm Market. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of plants available. Everything was very clean, organized and clearly marked. Prices were fair. I bought other plants from my local garden center that were much bigger for the price, but these plants are very healthy and a nice variety to choose from. Plant starts were hard to come by for me this year due to the late frost. I started my garden late but very excited to see how the tomatoes and watermelon I got today do.
Sat. 10/19/2024 I bought the tickets on line, 4 the Punkin Rides, me & my daughter, It was hot this day, but me & my daughter 1st time @ Springdale Farms, We had a wonderful time, 1st time picking our Punkin, all the staff was nice & friendly, We went into the store & bought some stuff from the inside Market I love the selection of fresh grown fruits & vegetables. I will definitely be back to visit.
I visited in May 2024 and I am from Ohio, was looking for homegrown strawberries. I called ahead and they said they have strawberries, $10/quart. I also asked what other produce they had that was homegrown. They said kale, beets, lettuce, onions or leeks. I didn't know what to expect when I visited on a Sunday. They had plenty of parking. You could see the vegetable fields and plastic mulch raised beds which was nice to show you that they do grow their own things. You walk in and are instantly pleased with the beautiful flowers and garden essentials. Definitely a garden center with everything you need: plants, herbs, pots, flags, gloves, shovels, indoor plants, cactus, succulent, trailing fences, etc. Then you walk further into the building to see a produce section, baked good, flower bunches, frozen section, jams, honey, pretzels, crackers, pies, etc. They do have produce homegrown and it's noted with a sign.
We have made pumpkin picking at Springdale farm a part of our family's traditions. We've been taking our kids here for a few years now. We love the hayride through their beautiful fields and we all have fun picking the perfect pumpking. Prices are on par with other farms in the area. Ours was .89 cents a pound. The market is full of treasures and treats. We always purchase apple cider donuts and cold apple cider. We don't even wait to get home to partake of the goodies and eat them in the parking lot! I can see coming her with our family for many more years in the future!
