Reviews
Our visit for the farm tour was a mixed experience. The food and beverages were very flavorful and well-prepared; however, we felt the overall presentation and variety were quite minimal, as the meal was served in paper plates and bowls. Regarding the tour, we had hoped to learn more about the farm's agricultural and regenerative practices. The tour primarily functioned as a walkthrough identifying plants currently growing on the property, which was less detailed than what we had hoped. While we understand that farm offerings can change based on the season, our experience didn't align with the imagery presented on the website and social media. We think the experience would benefit from more alignment between the promotional marketing and the actual visit.
Sun Farm It’s a beautiful place, filled with stunning plants and gardens. It’s a lovely spot to spend time with family. The owner, Marcos, is incredibly generous and charismatic. His passion is welcoming people to his farm so they can experience a connection with nature. There are animals, fresh fruits and vegetables, and an incredible view. It’s a wonderful place where families and visitors can connect with farm life in Hawaii.
The farm tour was such an amazing experience and made our whole trip. The spread at the end was phenomenal. Enjoyed learning about the farm and care and work that goes into it Marcos the owner was awesome and made it super fun, we'll definitely be back again!
Marcos gave us an amazing tour of all the different plants and veggies and fruit grown on Sun Farm. It was such a fun tour and we got to learn a lot about different herbs and what is native and invasive. Afterwards we had an AMAZING tasting of the foods grown on the farm. The farm also have camping spots to stay at etc. definitely will want to come back again. The vibes are so aloha!
Great place close to Waikiki and near some beaches and hiking spots. Because we didn't find state or country campgrounds on this side of the island, we choose this private one. A little bit more costly but if felt fair (~55$/night). For that you get access to the fully equipped kitchen (with oven, stove, fridge and also freezer) and warm shower. Nevertheless there were some volunteers working, nobody cared about us. We didn't get any information. a short farm tour would have been nice. We booked our stay on hicamp. (I tried to book it directly to safe the booking fee, but they didn't let me do so)
