The Homestead Farm at Fruit Hill Orchard and Sugar Shack LLC - Winchester VA

Visiting here was like falling into an autumn Hallmark movie. Vibes for days! Very cute, upscale, specialty market with lots of local and unique food items. Had a sample of the Ruby Rush apple and had to leave with a half bushel. Would love to come back at other times of the year to see the decor changes. Lovely customer service. Very fun stop!

Offer hand dipped and soft serve ice cream, seasonal fruit & veggie, homemade pie and cake and other little things you have to come discover yourself. Here to support local business in general. It is a chill relaxing place with a small play area for little ones. I often buy this soap bar as part of a business support, good soap.

Perfect place to go for a beautiful view of the pond, the farm, inside the foods are perfect and delicious. I personally adore anything in a loaf pan they serve. I love the open bluegrass music jams that happen in the summertime weekly. The soft serve ice cream and enjoying the property are an absolute must see and GEM in Winchester VA. Just barely outside of town past James Wood High School. The best staff and operators ever. Awesome country store. Well behaved pet friendly. Park like setting, shade, parking, playground. I’m happy I know of this wonderful venue for events and weddings and one of my favorite festivals, The Sunflower Festival a top 10 in the USA every year. A nice, quaint little farm shop. Prices were mostly reasonable; I got all of this produce for just over $10. They had a nice pick your own deal where one could go out in the garden and pick a good variety of food -tomatoes, different kinds of peppers and squash, eggplant, pumpkins, Swiss chard, cabbage,- for a dollar a pound. They had some baked goods & little trinkets too, if you're into that. Great spot for locally grown food.

We attended the Sunflower Festival. There were some food trucks, lots of jewelry and craft tents, things for the kiddos to do, and plenty of bathrooms/Porto potties. Sunflower picking was $1.00 per flower. There was a fee to enter, skip the line when you pay online. No band in the late morning, wish there had been some kind of music and more food choices.
