Vogel Orchard - Fredericksburg TX

Wow, these peaches are amazing! We stopped by on Sunday, June 8, 2025 and picked up a bunch. We left them on the counter until Tuesday, as the young girl who assisted us, recommended. Tuesday dinner was a fresh peach & mozzarella caprese salad with a ham, Gruyère, & asparagus frittata. Wednesday dinner was air-fried pork chops with roasted peach, blackberry, and arugula salad. The rest of the peaches will be eaten before we can get to making cobbler. Can’t wait to return in a few weeks for some more.

This will be my future 2026 peach stand visit on 290 W on the right side. After my visit to Burg's Corner I come here. As stated clinged peaches come out Mid- May. It has an unpaved parking lot. I go on a weekday as I'm visiting several peach stands. I park in front of the green building or along its side. Their orchards are in the back. There are many peach types here. Here on a long front table, the attendant offers peach wedges of this or that to help you decide on your purchase ! Separate from this is a metal stand with shelves where one may purchase farm vegetables like squash, onions, etc. Also there's a small shop to the left. As its door opens one sees many canned and bottled items, jams, relishes, etc. There are also pecans for sale. I like to purchase several varieties here. Last year I asked the attendant if she could write on the paper bags what I bought as I would be sharing with others ? And she did. I like coming here for the clinged varieties. And I make a later summer trip for the freestone peaches. Homegrown peaches ! YUM ! May 8, 2026 10 P.M. News announces " Due to drought, the 2026 peach crop isn't good. Stands will have only 30% to 40% of their crop. And peaches may come from other places." I had heard that peach stands have a Co- op with other States and when the peaches aren't good, peaches come from these States. It's too bad the 2026 crop isn't good because it means fewer peaches and higher prices. Check with this Stand.

If you are in the area you need to stop here. Family owned and operated, and they make you feel right at home. I got the peach cobbler with peach butter ice cream and it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. I would give this more than 5 stars if I could.

we loved our visit to vogel orchard! the staff was so kind and welcoming! they’re a family-run business with a lot of heart. their peaches are incredible and the preserves are just as amazing. such a gem in fredericksburg! definitely a must-stop for anyone visiting hill country! 🍑💛
