Walnut Ridge Nursery & Garden Center - Jeffersonville IN

Got to go here for the first time today with kiddo. All the plants are healthy, thriving, and the employees are very knowledgeable. They even have a plant that I been looking for. We got 4 tomato plants at a steal. Can't wait to go back and start designing my garden for my new home.

Came in around the middle of March to buy hybrid tea roses. They weren't out yet, but they let us look at them in the greenhouse and then had us view the catalog so we could decide what we wanted. They took our info and marked the ones we wanted so they could call us when they got closer to the planting time (they weren't fully rooted yet). We came back in mid-April and they still weren't quite ready, but they let us pick our specific ones. We paid for them and they tagged them as sold under our name. Last week, they called to tell us they were ready and waiting for us whenever we wanted to come get them. We came the next day and picked them up and they are so beautiful!!! We just planted them a few days ago and the Sugar Moon ones are already blooming and smell AMAZING! Can't wait for the Heavenly Scented to bloom as they were our main choice! Staff were all very friendly and helpful during every interaction!

I love Walnut Ridge. I have had them plant trees and shrubs for me, and they always do such an excellent job. They leave clean edges and mulch everything so nicely; they fertilize and amend the soil, which I really need because I have bad clay soil. Everything has thrived that they have planted for me. Kobbe and his men are top-notch workers. They work very hard, clean up their mess, and I just can’t say enough good things about them. I won’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend them.

Yesterday my daughter and I attended a Fall porch pot class at Walnut Ridge Nursery. Folks, you missed out on a great opportunity! Beautiful weather, friendly staff, informative instructor (thank you, Mike!). We were encouraged to add as many plants/as many varieties as we wanted to the HUGE pot provided, given helpful suggestions on design, and given a secret potion (!) to guarantee plant growth. For a relaxing, reasonable activity, keep an eye open for Walnut Ridge classes!

While Google says they are open, and if you drive to it, youll see their neon sign on and inside lights on: theres even people working inside but they are NOT open for business. We drove all the way here to "shop local" and spend a bunch of money on plants. Its seems wasteful to be spending money on labor, etc and not be able to sell some plants. Sincerely, disappointed.
