Gizdich Strawberry Patch - Watsonville CA

Super fun and super yummy. If ya never had strawberries right off the vine then you don’t know what you’re missing. Gizdich is easy to get to from the Bay Area; maybe an hour drive from South San Jose. Note that it’s a half mile or so away from the Gizdich location they sell pies and have true fruit picking. They have a large dirt lot and then you walk up the short stairs for strawberry and other berry picking. Bring your own box of Mr bowl or they will sell you one. They weigh it before you start picking. The strawberry patch is quite large and you’re sure to find good ones as long as you visit anywhere near the season. I’ve been here off season and they were closed. And it’s not only yum but also kind of fun. Hunting and searching for the good ones! Eat a couple while you pick. I mean, you have to confirm they’re good, right?

We have been to many strawberry farms so far.but this farm has very good quality of strawberries 🍓 and my kids loved to pick (upick) strawberries. We had fun amazing family activity😊

Excellent U-pick strawberries. Huge huge strawberry patch! Open about 2-3 months during season late May to early August, depending. The price in 2025 was $3.75/lb. Bring your own box to save paying for a box there which is $2. Have fun while picking and take your time. No entrance fee and no minimum.

Fun family activity and DELICIOUS strawberries!! Open on weekends. It's not a. Omg activity but they get nutritious food and have fun while they're doing it. It's in a field close to watsonville, easy to get to, and if you go to the farm collection of buildings, you can also get their store where nobody pies! Strawberry rhubarb was the best!

Sweet HUGE strawberries! Get there early. They advertised 9-5 for you pick but they closed the field at 11 because it got picked out quick. We went straight after to the ranch for PIE :)
