What a hidden gem! Hartland Orchard offers an amazing variety of fresh, seasonal fruits — from pumpkins and strawberries to blueberries, apples, and peaches. Everything is incredibly fresh and easy to pick, making the experience fun and relaxing for all ages. If you’re not in the mood to pick, no worries — they offer pre-packaged bags for $20 (one size only), and you simply pay when you're done. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash or check, so come prepared! Beyond the fruit, their vendor items are a real treat — the honey, jams, preserves, pies, and donuts are all top-notch. I was just passing through, but after this visit, I’ll definitely be coming back! A perfect stop for anyone who loves local, quality produce and homemade goodies.

Had a blast picking our own Virginia apples today! For the price of a bushel, it's a great bargain. Friendly family who takes good care of you and make you feel welcome. Can't wait to make Hartland a tradition for fruit picking!

We came here with our kids on a misty morning and had an amazing time! The staff were so nice and the apples were delicious. There were so many kinds to pick! We were a little thrown by how far into the orchard we could drive, but it was super convenient to get to the different types of apples. Our minivan was parked on the grass right next to the apple trees we picked from. That saved a lot of time and energy lugging heavy bags of apple back to our car with the toddlers! Every tree was laden with apples, and they provided pole grabbers so we can reach for the big ones! Afterwards we stopped by their shop, and got the kids on a little tractor ride through the fields that was pretty sweet. Very scenic and peaceful. Highly recommend!

My sister and I took a trip down early Saturday morning to Markham, Virginia to go apple picking at Hartland Orchard. What a beautiful place with so many different types of delicious apples!! The workers who helped us around when we arrived greeted us and were so kind! I’ve previously gone peach picking here in July but the apple picking plus the fall views were amazing!

We went on Sep 30th. Only apples were there. We picked variety of apples. Staffs are friendly. Car is allowed upto picking place. 20 Dollar for each bag(half bushel)
