Silverman's Farm - Easton CT

My review is only for the animal farm and play area....We've been here probably 3 times in the last 4 years and today we took our great nephews (4 & 5) $7/per person, $5 for a bag of food to feed the animals (optional) we bought 2. They used to have the machines that you could put quarters in and get way more than handful of the feed for the animals. I wish they still had that because the only animals that wanted to be fed were the goats in the beginning, the rest of the animals throughout the petting zoo had no desire whatsoever for the food. It looks like people were just throwing it over the fences.. We had one lady give us a bag of food that they weren't going to finish and before we left, we gave away two bags. Would've been better with the machines and then you could just buy as you needed. Such a waste. In 4 years there doesn't seem to be much up-keep in the area of the farm and play area, aside from the addition of some tables and some sort of flower garden with arbors, mind you the plants growing on the arbors were dying or already dead and no maintenance or repairs done on the shelters....Nothing has changed. The boys had fun and they play area running around climbing sliding, etc. at all of Play things were the same as four years ago no fresh paint no upkeep..... Nothing has changed. The place has a lot of possibilities, the arbor garden could be absolutely beautiful.... and could use some freshening up, how about a fresh coat of paint on some of those playground structures and could you please bring back the machines for the feed???

Great plants and trees, tulip flowers are in big batches and sold by fresh cut. They have the pet animal zoom also, which is a great activity to bring the family and kids

It was an amazing experience!!! Wayyyy too crowded but the farm is big enough to fit the amount of people that were there.

Loved our visit today to Silverman's today! Vibrant farm and awesome market. Great for families. Lots of animals... pumpkins, apples, fresh veggies, delicious pies, candy apples, cider, icecream, plants, awesome food trucks... just AWESOME array of options! We had a wonderful family day today at Silverman's.

I was looking to find the most 'New England' experience possible around me to share with someone new to the area, and this was perfect! The cider (and "chai-der") and donuts are only rivaled in deliciousness by the apples we picked. An awesome time I've enjoyed since I was a kid, and now can share with others. 🍎 🐄 🎃
