The Great Big Greenhouse and Nursery - Richmond VA

The Great Big Greenhouse makes me happy! The selection of plants and flowers can be overwhelming but the staff is always helpful and friendly. I’m a novice gardener and need lots of direction. Lisa R has been a great help on several occasions. Last spring she spent time guiding me in the selection of the perfect plants for my particular needs. Lisa’s knowledge and excitement about my projects was delightful to experience. So, of course, I sought Lisa out again this spring. Thank you!

Pretty large selection so they should have everything you want and need. I believe they're affiliated with Merrifield, and we being from Northern Virginia, have a few of those stores, and are familiar with the stock they have. The big difference id say is that this store doesn't have many, if any, rare plants. This place does have larger plants which is harder to find.

I could have stayed and lived there. It was beautiful! The plants are organized, full and healthy! Priced reasonably too which we all love to hear. I got some micans that were 15.99 and a funky begonia that was 6.99 I think, and they had 20% off houseplants! Every staff member I saw asked if I needed any help and were so friendly! I will be making the trip back!

Good selection of seasonal plants. Staff is attentive and looks to help! Elliott was knowledgeable in answering my questions about several items! I'm very happy with my blue and white columbines!!

The staff is friendly every time I come here. The plants were very overpriced today when I went compared to when I went in the past. They had great variety of “regular” plants you see everyday. I might go back for another Venus flytrap
