Desert Foothills Gardens Nursery Inc. - Cave Creek AZ

I stopped in to pick out a few small cacti to give my patio the beginnings of a desert Southwest character. Staff were very helpful and share tips on how to know when your cactus is happy or not. So many sizes in varieties that if you can't find what you're looking for, it's possible it doesn't exist. Definitely worth a stop even if you just looking around. And if you think you can't keep a cactus alive, they have solutions for your Black Thumb.

Dorian & Krystal were incredibly helpful to me. They moved heavy things to show me the best options of pot and pedestal for my yard. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic, I couldn’t have achieved such a stellar result without them.

Desert Foothills Gardens Nursery is a large open nursery along Cave Creek road and just south of Carefree highway. Walking through the boulders and basalt towers is a kind of meditative experience. Nurseries are one of my happy spots. I could just walk through them all day. I've bought outdoor plants and shrubs here. I've picked up fun fairy garden items for my kids. I've daydreamed of new landscaping with some of their pottery and fountains. It's a great nursery to browse.

Beautiful place. So many cool things to look at. Some very unusual. It was hard to find help. But it is a huge place. Very pricey compared to other nurseries. We found a nice rock for our collection..payed $30.00. $$$. But it is beautiful . 😉
